Choosing the right type of support is important. While both coaching and therapy can be valuable, they serve different purposes and often complement one another.
Therapy is a clinical service provided by licensed mental health professionals. It focuses on emotional healing, mental health concerns, understanding emotional patterns, processing difficult experiences, and treating psychological conditions.
Social Skills Coaching is educational, practical, and skill-based.
Coaching focuses on the present and on building real-world social skills that can be used immediately. Together, we break social situations into understandable steps, learn the unwritten rules of social interaction, practice new skills, and apply them to everyday life.
My work helps you develop the understanding, confidence, and practical skills needed to navigate our social world successfully.
Many of my clients have a clinical diagnosis.
Many do not.
The goal is to help you better understand the social world that we share and feel more confident navigating it.
Therapy may provide support for emotional well-being, anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health concerns, while coaching focuses on learning and practicing practical social skills. Together, they often provide a well-rounded approach to personal growth.
Social Skills Coaching is provided under a Non-Clinical Coaching Agreement and is not a substitute for mental health treatment.
