Young Adult Social Group
Wendy Halley-McAllister runs a young adult social group for people between the ages of 18 – 23 through ABOARD’s Autism Connection of PA. This Meetup group is for young adults on the autism spectrum who want to meet other individuals with whom they can relate in a venue where they can have fun and socialize. This group is not a therapy or support group.
ABOARD’s Autism Connection of PA
ABOARD’s Autism Connection of PA serves thousands of individuals and families in Pennsylvania confronted with the challenges of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as the professionals who work with them. ABOARD envisions a community where children, adolescents, and adults with ASD achieve NO LESS than their maximum potential in social, educational, and vocational environments.
Family Behavioral Resources
FBR provides a variety of mental health services throughout twelve counties in Southwestern Pennsylvania. FBR continues to work with counties’ MH/MR centers and managed care systems to identify other mental health needs, either new programs or expansion of existing programs, that will help people in those counties. In 2003, FBR created the Specialized Autism Services program to better serve clients’ unique needs within that population.
